About the Business
Amberley Playgroup is a thriving community Playgroup, that is situated in the village of Amberley, near Stroud (Gloucestershire). Both the Playgroup and the Toddler group are run by friendly, professional and fully qualified staff, supported by a voluntary committee of parents, who are involved in the management of the group. The playgroup is registered with Ofsted, to provide care for up to 24 children at each session, from the age of 2yrs 9 months until they start school.
The Playgroup employs 5 staff, all holding relevant child care or teaching qualifications and with many years experience in a wide range of settings. Each session runs with a high staff:children ratio in excess of that required by legislation, to enable a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities to take place. Amberley is surrounded by National Trust Common land and this is used to enhance the learning opportunities for the children whenever possible.
