About the Business
Hedgerow Nursery aims to develop a partnership between parents, children and the nursery in order to achieve the very best care and education for each individual child. We are very proud of our nursery with its warm, caring and friendly atmosphere.
Here children can learn with confidence and fun in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Each child is valued for what they bring to the nursery and we hope to share with you the exciting leaps they will take.
Business Services
Butterfly Room (Pre-School/Toddlers)
Caterpillar Room (Babies/Toddlers)
Our baby room is staffed by highly qualified staff providing specialist care. The room is self contained with a sleep area, milk kitchen and nappy changing room. The baby room has access via locked double doors to its own secure outdoor area covered in a safety surface that allows babies to crawl and toddle freely but safely. The outdoor area is equipped with resources appropriate for babies and is partially covered so babies can still use the area in adverse weather.
Parents/carers with children requiring nappies and baby wipes will need to provide these or if you choose we will use our own washable nappies as part of our commitment to the environment. All children should have at least one spare set of clothing to be left at nursery. Please also remember that your child will be involved in ‘messy play’ activities. Aprons will always be provided however we recommend you send your child in older clothes as a precaution.
Each baby has a named basket in which all personal items will be kept. At Hedgerows’ babies have a nurturing environment with every opportunity taken to record all their developmental milestones. Routines are flexible to suit each individual child’s needs. We offer enjoyable activities to stimulate and challenge children throughout the day.
The equipment and resources in our baby room promote physical and emotional development. They give babies the opportunity to crawl, shuffle, pull, stand and climb. At Hedgerows’ we recognise that Treasure Baskets and Heuristic Play are essential to allow your child to develop their own sense of curiosity and help gain and develop fine motor skills. Everyday objects made from natural materials encourage children to make positive discoveries.
