About the Business
Oakdin Montessori Kindergarten opened in 1993. It is a privately owned converted bungalow, with six bright attractive classrooms arranged to cover each area of the curriculum. We enjoy a large garden and outside area which is designed to meet the needs of children, to enjoy being outside as much as they enjoy being inside.
Lessons are given on one to one basis or in small groups. This helps the teacher to discover more about each individual child and their cognitive development. All children have a positive attitude towards learning and are happy, settled and purposely engaged in an extensive range of well planned activities appropriate to their age and stage of development throughout the sessions. Our aim is to provide a happy, homely and non-competitive atmosphere in which children may grow and learn naturally at their own pace. Optional French and computing are taught twice a week by visiting teachers.
Our free flow of work cycle allows them to grow and learn naturally at their own pace.
